Does Obama hate Israel this much?

Or is he and his team so utterly clueless. I suspect the answer is a bit of both.

I've just read the transcript of the president's remarks about Haiti, the ones he made on January 15. He noted that, in addition to assistance from the United States, significant aid had also come from "Brazil, Mexico, Canada, France, Colombia, and the Dominican Republic, among others." Am I missing another country that truly weighed in with truly consequential assistance? Ah, yes. There it is. Right there "among others." Yes, the country to which I refer is "among others," that one.
The fact is that, next to our country, Israel sent the largest contingent of trained rescue workers, doctors, and other medical personnel. The Israeli field hospital was the only one on the ground that could perform real surgery, which it did literally hundreds of times, while delivering--as of last week--at least 16 babies, including one premature infant and three caesarians. The first 250-odd Israelis were real professionals, and they were supplemented by others, also professionals. And to these can be added the many organized Jews from the Diaspora who, in solidarity with Israel, also went on a work pilgrimage, an aliyah, in solidarity with Haiti.

So didn't Obama notice? For God's sake, everybody noticed the deep Israeli involvement. I understand that Obama doesn't like Middle East narratives that do not contain "one side and the other side" equal valence. But he couldn't have that here. The Arabs don't care a fig, not for their impoverished and backward own, and certainly not for strangers. That's why their presence in Haiti amounted to a couple of bucks from Saudi Arabia and maybe from some other sheikhs.

An afterthought: Who would want Arab participation in the rescue effort? This was serious work and dangerous work. Amateurs weren't welcome.

Yes, I think that the labors of the Israelis were edited out of Obama's speech, either by his speechwriters (who have made dissing Israel their forté) or by his own oh-so-delicate but dishonest censoring mechanism.

The scary thing is that many of us believe the President hardly knows much of anything, certainly not economics, and is surrounded by an increasingly paranoid and defensive group of advisers. It’s shades of Nixon, but worse. Tricky Dick, at least, knew what he was doing and could accomplish things. Obama is the biggest windbag to ever ascend to the presidency. He has no idea what he is doing and now things are getting rough. Frankly, I’m worried for our country because this man doesn’t really understand what the public is telling him. He just thinks we’re “angry.” He’s wrong – we’re furious and we’re furious because he blames everyone but himself and seems psychologically incapable of taking responsibility.

Problem is, we’ve been there, done that, a thousand times. The alternative to capitalism is socialism and it has never worked. Not once, in all its myriad permutations. In fact, it most often hurts those it was intended to help, bankrupting the society and leaving the lower classes destitute. The Soviet Union collapsed. China was deeply impoverished until it turned essentially capitalistic . Everybody knows that now, and has for years, except maybe our president. He’s after the banks and is so clueless he thinks that will impress us. Of course, it won’t. Nobody believes anything he says anymore. But he is the President and he can take executive actions. And with those actions, like a wounded animal, he may pull all of us down with him. I am deeply afraid of that because Barack Obama has never had to deal with any personal adversity in his adult life. He has lived a completely privileged existence. This is a first for him. There’s no telling how he will behave. Watch out, buckle up and hold on to your seats.

Obama is a menace to humanity

What if this guy(I mean the terrorist mentioned below,not Obama the pal of Bill Ayers the domestic terrorist) goes back to his terrorist ways-a likely scenario- and kills some people? Would anybody hold Obama responsible?

The Justice Department has announced the release from Gitmo of a terrorist who conspired to bomb Los Angeles International Airport in the 2000 Millennium plot.  Hassan Zumiri, who was part of an al-Qaeda affiliated terror cell in Montreal, has been repatriated to his native Algeria — a country so rife with terrorists that it was recently placed on the list of 14 countries whose travelers warrant enhanced screening at airports.  Worse, the Justice Department won't say whether the terrorist, Hassan Zumiri, and another Gitmo detainee who was also sent to Algeria will be in custody there.  They may be free and clear.

Why let a holiday season come between the White House and making some political statements? The White House pegged controversial designer Simon Doonan to oversee the Christmas decorations for the White House. Mr. Doonan, who is creative director of Barney’s New York has often caused a stir with his design choices. Like his naughty yuletide window display of Margaret Thatcher as a dowdy dominatrix and Dan Quayle as a ventriloquist’s dummy. For this year’s White House, he didn’t disappoint.

So he has, as decorations, images of the legendary transvestite Hedda Lettuce, President Obama onto Mt. Rushmore(wait - I thought these arty-sharties were supposed to speak truth to power, not go all oozy and sycophantic) and an image of - MAO, who "like Stalin, indisputably murdered more people than Hitler"!(Some say 70 million- but what's a few million people here and there when the ideals are noble and the heart pure? e.g. see  Mao: The Unknown Story)

But hey, Mao was for hope and change -in his own way. So a left-wing mass murderer's image in Obama White House doesn't seem so out of place.

Obama has been a prime malefactor in fanning confusion about the enemy and the means we will use to defend ourselves. He ran for president on pulling the plug on Iraq, although that was a central battlefield in the war against the same Islamic fundamentalists. Once in office, he not only declared war on the CIA by re-investigating its operatives and disclosing their methods, but he proposed closing Guantanamo and bringing detainees to the U.S. for trial and possible incarceration. In his grand address on health care, he tells the country it’s a shame we have to spend money fighting in Afghanistan. He has excised “war on terror” and “Islamic fundamentalist” from our official lexicon. And he has declared we won’t be using enhanced interrogation techniques to extract any useful information from those who would carry out dozens of Fort Hoods.

Iranian protesters taunt-plead-shame Obama with Bushspeak

One of the biggest transformations going from Bush to Obama has been the trashing of human rights by the new team in power. They are leftists, after all, freedom and human rights has never been the Left's forte.

A most heart-rending struggle of current times is the desperate struggle of Iranians against their brutal fanatic regime - a regime which does this:

A girl is walking away and a riot guard stops her, she is all alone against the big metal gate, defenseless and not bothering anyone, but an anti-riot guard decides to lash her across the sheens a couple of times with his truncheon. But there is worse to come, another girl is pulled over and this time she is smacked in the face with the truncheon, she is knocked out and when a young man comes to her aid, he too is pulled away and kneed in the face before more women come to their rescue. Also notice the security agent with the camera who is filming the protesters. This is what they do in public, just imagine what they do behind the prisons.

For Obama the protestors have been irritants in his set-in-stone policy of  talking to the mullahs. He even cut off funding for center documenting Iranian human rights violations to suck up to the regime. The protestors are now trying to shame Obama into doing the right thing-

The New York Times reports that opposition protesters in Iran, in between beatings and tear-gassing from riot police and the regime’s hired thugs, have started a new chant: “Obama, Obama -- either you’re with them or you’re with us.”

In case you were wondering what the answer might be, the statement yesterday from White House press secretary Robert Gibbs said it all. Gibbs declared that Obama administration officials were following reports of the unrest and “hope greatly that violence will not spread.” This was a great moment in the annals of diplo-speak. No mention of who might be committing the violence, or who might be its victims. Violence, it seems, has the capacity to spread without any human involvement.

Unpleasant as it may be for the president to hear, his policy is objectively aiding the Tehran regime and harming the opposition in their ongoing struggle.

The chanters are right. The United States can either be with them or against them. Right now, President Obama is against them. But it’s not too late for him to switch sides.

I hate to say it - but the most powerful man in the world has his moral compass pointing in the wrong direction

Zigzagging on Afghanistan

Foreign policy realists question whether any effort in Afghanistan can succeed. Possibly they are right. The interventionists, if I may call them that, suggest the realists are being unrealistic -- that Afghanistan matters and it matters much more than Iraq or, before that, Vietnam ever did and that we can prevail. Possibly they are right.

 

But the ultimate in realism is for the president to gauge himself and who he is: Does he have the stomach and commitment for what is likely to continue to be an unpopular war? Will he send additional troops, but hedge by not sending enough -- so that the dying will be in vain? What does he believe, and will he ask Americans to die for it? Only he knows the answers to these questions. But based on his zigzagging so far and the suggestion from the Copenhagen trip that the somber seriousness of the presidency has yet to sink in, we have reason to wonder.

It’s becoming harder to tell –does the long-awaited(those long,hard Bush years) Messiah speak any truth at all?

The Wall Street Journal’s editors gingerly call it an “invention,” but really—it’s a lie. The “it,” of course, is another made-up fact by Obama, who is becoming a font of misinformation and half-truths. The editors explain that Obama’s claim that individually purchased insurance is three times more expensive than employer coverage is false:

The Congressional Budget Office expects premiums for employer-sponsored coverage to cost about $5,000 for singles and $13,000 for families this year on average. “Premiums for policies purchased in the individual market,” adds CBO, “are much lower, about one-third lower for single coverage and half that level for family policies.”

Similarly, the federal Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality finds that the growth rate for premiums is also lower for individuals over employers. Mr. Obama’s health team surely knows this dynamic, given that the CBO report was issued under the auspices of Peter Orszag, now the White House budget director.

In other words, it’s not a little exaggeration; it’s a really big lie, one that tells voters the exact opposite of the truth.

The prophet of Liberalism is perhaps the most lying prophet of all times. But you would not hear any of it from our Obama-poodles in the media.

Gautam Adhikari – sitting blind in Washington

Gautam Adhikari (who has an op-ed in the Times of India today) sits in a gay bar in downtown Washington and comes to the conclusion that despite Obama’s election a large part of America is still rabidly racist-

Obama was elected by a majority of the people but there is a significant minority that hasn't got over that watershed event in US history. Much of the diatribe on talk radio and the Fox News channel would seem to be against creeping "socialism" that might come if Obama succeeded in pushing through his policies, particularly his health-care policy. But, every now and then, stray voices scream out a deeper hatred.
Thus, we have the 'birthers', who are trying desperately to prove that Obama was not born in America and therefore cannot be president. There are religious loonies who say he is the Anti-Christ. But i was struck by the rant of one gentleman on TV last week when he bellowed that Obama was going to impose "Afro-Leninism". The 'Afro' is a giveaway. They hate him because he is a different kind of American.

I have no idea what the 'rant' was or the context -was it more rabid than Adhikari's own rant?- but assuming it to be straightforward racist, doesn't then Adhikari's logic (or lack of it)comes down to this level:

there is a bus full of people who don't act the way I would like them to(people on the “Fox News channel“and “talk radio”), but one or two (“stray voices”)are really behaving very atrociously(‘birthers’, those who speak of "Afro-Leninism").So the whole bus is full of atrocious people.

 

He is tarring the whole swathe of libertarians-conservatives-moderate Democrats -who actually outnumber hardcore Obama supporters by many millions- by the actions of the very few whose deeds and words may or may not be dubious.

Adhikari is evidently quite enamored of the Dear Leader. He cannot fathom how anybody can ever not worship at the same altar. His is the one true faith –in Obama. Those who don’t agree can only be – RACISTS!

The reason a large number of Americans have become more and more suspicious of Obama is obvious –but not to Adhikari. Obama is pushing very hard for a big government–no, not just ‘big’ but a HUGE government.

He is spending other people’s money(taxes) and those of not yet born(national debt) like a punch-drunk sailor. The deficits are now in trillions –the earlier records of hundreds of billions now seems like small change.

He is politicizing every part of American life,from art to justice to science –like a true Marxist would and does when given a chance.

Obama ran as a centrist, a soothing moderate –he is governing like the hard-leftist he is.

Many Americans are rightly suspicious of all this.

But in Adhikari’s brain swamps all that takes on an unreal quality.He cannot believe that those on the Fox News or in the numerous tea-parties(not reported by his paper)can have an intellectual case –RACISTS, RACISTS, RASICSTS ALL!

It is possible that it is really Adhikari’s paper, the Times of India, which is is at least partially responsible. This ‘news’paper hardly ever reports anything that reflects negatively on Obama.

“He is appointing super-intelligent experts to vital posts”

“Michelle is growing an organic garden” 

“How lovely her arms look”

Such is the nature of most ‘news’ about Obama.

Pravada couldn’t do it better.

 

But what about the ‘truther’ and communist Van Jones, Obama’s now ex-green czar? (What ‘truther’? What resignation in the middle of the night on Saturday?What controversy? –the Times’ readers never learnt a thing from this ‘news’paper)

What about eugenics minded enviro-nut John Holdren, Obama’s science czar(that has an Orwellian ring to it, no?) who believes among other things that ”The population at large could be sterilized by infertility drugs intentionally put into the nation’s drinking water or in food”?

What about Obama administration’s ongoing thuggish behaviour in bailout deals?

 

Not a pipsqueak about these and many, many other issues that reflect extremely badly on Obama.The Times of India dare not inform it’s readers. And Gautam Adhikari dare not write about them.

 

If Adhikari would get out of that gay club(unless he is having a whale of a time) he might see a bit of the world.Since he is in Washington, may we suggest he go over to the massive protest that is taking place against Obama’s policies there on 9/12(which is right now)? This sounds so right, doesn't it – in Obama there is a president who would rather fight the Republicans than the jihadis. Somewhere down the line, one expects him to surrender –as soon he can figure out how to come out looking holier and blessed from it.
